Free with your normal entry ticket, come along to Oxford Botanic Garden on Saturday 28th May at 2.30pm to hear from the fantastic Amigo stage band!
The Amigo stage band is from Leiden, the Dutch city with which Oxford has been twinned for 76 years. This performance forms part of the build up to Oxford Botanic Garden's 400th anniversary celebrations, which will finish with a fortnight of celebrations in July.
The Amigo stage band will perform two twenty minute sets of a wide repertoire of music, including some good old classics, evergreens and musical and film music.
They band performs from April to October nearly every weekend in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and other parts of Europe. Their last trip to Oxfordshire was in 2007, where they played at Bampton, Blenheim Palace and in Oxford. Members of the returning stage band were in that show and marching band, and so are making a return visit to Oxfordshire.
Please note, the performance will take place on the Event Lawn and there will be minimal seating for the audience. Please feel free to bring your own folding chairs or picnic blankets if you would like to sit for the performance.
