Join us for outdoor adventures and wild discovery, and improve your forestry skills whilst discovering more about the animals, plants and trees around you. Spend the day learning what it takes to survive in the wilderness, practising the core skills of bushcraft and survival. The course has been created and developed to introduce you to not only the skills, but also the philosophy behind bushcraft. Content may vary depending on conditions, but might include:
• Where to find and utilise natural tinders;
• How to find water and make it safe to drink;
• How to make a shelter: both man-made and natural.
This bushcraft experience will be led by Manse, director of Wilderness Pioneers, and is designed especially for children aged 8+. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. The adult and child ticket is for one adult and one child only. If the adult will be accompanying multiple children, please also purchase additional child tickets. Please bring a nut-free packed lunch and drink.
